I have several Proenza Schouler PS1 bags in my collection, so anytime something new happens with the PS1, I’m going to pay attention. It’s a classic and has been a staple in my wardrobe for years.

Now we have the PS1 Walker—a new silhouette of a bag I already love—and I’m intrigued!!

The Walker is rooted in the unmistakable details of the original PS1, but everything feels softer. Butter-soft leather, curved lines, a more relaxed shape and those familiar hardware details give it a completely different feel without taking away what makes a PS1 a PS1.

Familiar, but new.

I love when a fashion house can revisit a classic without doing too much to it. There’s no need to completely reinvent something that already works. Give me a different shape, change the proportions, soften it up a little and suddenly I’m looking at a bag I’ve owned in several versions for years completely differently.

And the first thing I thought when I saw the Walker was: this would be such a good work bag.

I’m always looking for a good bag to add into my work rotation, but I don’t necessarily want something that screams work bag. I still want it to feel like something I would carry normally. Something that looks just as good with trousers and a blazer as it does with jeans, a coat and a good pair of shoes.

The Walker gives me that.

There’s something about the slouchier silhouette that makes it feel a little more effortless. It still has the character of the PS1, but this version feels like the one you throw everything into, carry all day and let get better with time.

And THAT leather???

I need to see it in person.

I already know the PS1 works for me. I own several. So this isn’t me discovering a new bag—it’s me seeing a new silhouette of a classic I already love and wondering if there’s room for one more in my collection.

There probably is. 😂
