Proenza Schouler just announced Rachel Scott as Creative Director. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez stepped away back in January for Loewe, and now the house is in Scott’s hands.

She’s not new to this. As the founder of Diotima, Scott built a brand rooted in Jamaican craft—crochet dresses, crystal mesh, sharp tailoring—all handmade and culture-rich. The CFDA crowned her Emerging Designer of the Year (2023) and Womenswear Designer of the Year (2024), all before she even touched a runway.

That changes this month. Diotima makes its runway debut on September 15 at New York Fashion Week, while Scott also preps her first full Proenza Schouler collection for Fall/Winter 2026.
